Ignition switch problem
I own a 1990, F-150. My problem is the ignition switch. When I start the truck, if I leave go of the switch, it shuts off. If i keep my hand on the switch, just enough to keep the starter from engaging, it stays running, but the minute I leave go, it shuts off. I tried a new switch, same problem. Please help.

I didn't know about any switch "on" the column. I replaced the key switch. After reading your reply, I checked. There was an adjustable "switch", mounted on the top of the column. I loosened the bolts, slid it a little, and BINGO. Thank you, very much. Franco1961
