I was wondering what you all do to stop the banging around that the pivoting head does when your not hooked up or is there something that locks the head in place that im missing?

Mine doesn't bang around much if any. Did you update the yellow bushings to the new style? That took a lot of movement and noise out of mine.

I will say mine doesn't bang around either but i do bungee when i put my tonneau cover on to keep the handle low even know I really don't need to.

Yellow bushings to new style?

You can also add rubber stops on all four corners of the base below the head.

Do you have the part number? I tried googling the number in the picture and it did not bring anything up

The pictures shown looks to be the titan?

Is your hitch in question a titan or standard 16k?

It is a Titan R16
I called Reese Customer service and told them my issue (excessive movement/noise) They ask for a picture of the bushing and then sent me the parts no charge

On the base below the head is two rubber bump stops on the standard 16k. The base does have a spot to add another set so that all four corners have bump stops. I have seen people do this however I have not done it myself. This might quickly solve your problem.

Or let it rust that'll solve your problem also! Just kidding about the rust option!
