Recently picked up another EX, the headlights needs to be replaced. I'm not looking to cut up the header so I'll do a direct replacement. I see the metal clips that need to be removed. But I can't find a video of anyone removing them. Also once you get them out how difficult is it to put them back once they've been removed?
The clips pull straight up, but it isn't easy to get them out. I use a sturdy pick to pull straight up on them/assisted by a tiny flat head screwdriver to keep the prongs out of the indents on the round plastic part they clip to. There are the two screws on the bottom that are easy. Then there is the round clip/insert on the lower inside of each light. You need to use a socket to put over the clip to compress the two tabs while pulling/pushing out on the light.
