Removing the headlights

I have a 2000 Expedition and I am having trouble removing the headlights. I tried to pull out the headlight brackets and I couldn't do it. I tried to pull the two metal clips out of place and there is a large screw that prevents each clip from being moved. The screws are parallel to the ground and there isn't much room to work with. Anyone else encounter this problem?

Also what are the best clear corners to purchase? Any websites or stores that you recommend.

Thanks

There are two strap-like pull tabs on the backside of the light housings. Pull upward (very firmly/sharply) on these and the headlight assembly will fall out the front of the grille area.

I had exactly the same issue. I wasn't pulling the tabs up high enough.

Those 2 tabs is all there is to it. You'll be amazed how cheap the headlight assembly feels when it comes out.

^Yeah, just pull those tabs up. It helped when I pushed the tabs toward the front of the truck when i was pulling up on them. Just be careful not to mess up the little alignment guides on the lights when you are putting them back in, that way your beam pattern does not change. Good luck!
