Replacement Headlights for Excursion
Hay!
I was just wondering if anyone out there has replaced their headlight assembily on their Excursion. I purchased a pair of aftermarket projector style lights for my 2000 excursion. They look great but when I went to install them I can not figure out how to remove the stock units. There is a retainer clip that locks the assembily in place. I was able to get one clip off on the upper left light using a couple of finishing nails to spread the clip while applying upward pressure but there has to be an easier way.. WHAT A PAIN!!
Any suggestions? Special tools??? Tips or instructions??? THanks!!

The clips pull straight up, but a couple small flat screwdrivers will make releasing them a bit easier. A 12-point 9/16" socket or box-end will release the lower round plastic clips.
