I received my dynamic diesel HD lifters today and of course then I yanked the old I didn't notice how the oiling hole is oriented. Got the new ones basting in oil for tomorrow's install.
As per the box it states "all oil holes facing outward" So I called to confirm exactly what they mean. The rep told me "Looking at the eight lifters, the 4 most outer orient the holes away from the center so obviously towards the front and towards the rear respectively. The 4 inner orient those toward the inside of the engine facing each other.
Then I am thinking WTF that is not what the box says.
I'd like to but he logs on once every couple weeks.
I talked to a few people today and it really is irrelevant from what I understand. The keeper orients the lifter's oil hole either towards the front of the engine or the rear. The block has a casting hole at the bottom or back side of the lifter and I belive it is a drain hole.
