I,m going to order a 2018 f 350 lariat soon as I,m able. (sept. 13?) Fords website for building seems down. maybe changing up from 17 to 18? Question is what options will I be giving up getting super cab as opposed to crew?. I need 8' bed and crew will be huge. I know no panoramic roof obviously, and no 48 gallon tank. will I be able to get proximity key/push button start? remote tailgate opening? Also ,i was wondering if remote tailgate opening could be retrofitted after. seems like should just be a solenoid?

Basically, the SuperCab does not allow the Lariat Ultimate. So you will be giving up the panoramic sunroof, but luckily you can still get a normal power moonroof.
However, without the Ultimate package, you will be giving up the proximity key and push button start, the remote tailgate release, rear heated seats, LED head lights, ambient lighting, heated steering wheel, power tilt/telescope steering wheel, and maybe a couple of other things.
But, you can still get the Lariat Value package which will offer you heated / cooled front seats, the power extending and folding mirrors, you'll get the 8" instrument cluster display, you can option for Navi, etc. It's still a nice setup.
Thanks, site still doesnt work for me. Not sure whats up. I get "bad request" or some zip code box that doesnt work. Anyway... seems like maybe to much to give up for super cab. I thought i remembered being able to get the led,s but i wanted the power wheel and tailgate too. and silly ambient lights just seem like fun. really wanted push button start too. decisions, decisions . just such a frieght train for daily driving. even though just a foot longer than super cab, it seems like more.
I drive a 350 CCLB. It's not bad at all. I wouldn't have it any other way, and 90% of its time is in the city with just me in it. That other 10% of the time I need the CCLB though.
With the 176" WB on the crew cabs it takes a little planning in advance if you head for tight spots. Luckily for me I'm out in the country and find it no problem for daily driving...love the 48 gallon fuel tank and the long wheelbase smoothes out the ride on the highway. Lots of protected storage in the rear of the cab and under the covered bed area. Getting 16 to 17 mpg is more then what I expected for my normal driving habits also!
