Brake problems.

On my 82 f100 my brakes have a little resistance then fall to the floor and still stop but I don't have anything until the floor pretty much. I'm thinking master cylinder seal has a hole in it but thought I'd ask just to have a second opinion before I get a new one.

You could also have air in the system...have you bled the brakes? or did any brake work recently?...losing fluid?....

Could be a bad seal in Master Cylinder. I assume the cylinder is full and no signs of fluid loss anywhere.

Nope it is full all the time and haven't had anything apart but tried bleeding them anyway just to be sure and nothing got better. Master cylinder is the only thing I could think of.

Well, its not going to get air in the lines on its own. Either something has to be leaking or a something was taken apart - to get air in lines. Since you ruled that out ...

the problem must be a bad Master Cylinder.

P.S. if you changing the MC might as well change the Booster too. Else it will fail for sure next year.

If you have saved any of those plastic plugs that come with a new mc, you could take it off and see if it will bench bleed
