It came up now, must've been busy

I want to eliminate the viton pieces of hose as seals.

Jason, if you were closer, I'd come see you. How do your systems do in the COLD North?

I have a few systems in trucks that plow snow all winter, some at high altitude in the Rockies and a couple up in Canada. COLD is no problem.

Getting 80gal tank

So when I get this tank and plumb it in do I need to worry about a shutoff valve? I mean will it over flow. Someone here mentioned a fuel pump so I'm not sure if I should be doing that instead of gravity fed.

Can see to left/right of pressure sensor
Yup, 4yrs 110k on straight cholesterol diet for the truck, here too... Until I moved closer to daughter than it wasn't needed. Sold the system to a 6.0 dude on clist. Definitely put $$$ in my pocket for these last couple years of running d2.

. I used, still use the post port to feed the front head ports. Using a jic T, and 300# fuel line with pushloks. 1/8npt couplings with 1/4jic male to attach puskloks. I carry a spare set for just in case.

Had about 3k in system(that's with the filtering and centrufusing system at home), but damn, paid off in no time when d2 was 4.00+ gallon...

I used a 100 gallon saddle tank from a semi. I bought it at a wrecking yard with the saddles and straps for $200.00. I also added an ArticFox tank heater also from the wrecking yard for $50.00. That allows me to run #2 diesel no matter how cold it gets. I should mention that it is part of my WVO system so I still have to treat/blend fuel for winter in my OEM tank.

I entered a truck pull last night. Pulled 221' in the Diesel Work Truck class. Not the best but pretty dang good for an aging platform running on Waste Vegtable Oil.

Getting 80gal tank

I got the 80gal tank and all the fittings now. Do I use teflon or regular pipe dope for the threaded connections on the tank? I'm putting two vented caps, one on each side and I will have the kit that goes to the filler neck from the tank's drain hole.

I don't like to use thread tape on fuel systems because of the strings that can get into pumps and such. I would use dope that is rated of diesel. It will say somewhere in the fine print on the label.

Gasoila is often recommended.

I looked up Gasoila on Amazon and it seems there are different types? Which is the one you recommend? (Where in town should I expect to get it)?
