OBS Windshield Trim
Is the windshield trim stainless or just some crap anodized aluminum. I am going to replace the windshield in my 95. I have been looking for N.O.S. and see that many are damaged or tarnished in some way.
Perhaps I can sand and polish my originals?
Any body have some advice they would like to share?

Actually they are Anodized aluminum. If they are in good shape they can be returned to their original luster.
Here is what I did. I removed the trim. I then removed the anodize using easyoff oven cleaner(red can) sprayed them and in about 10 minutes rinsed off and washed them with dawn dish soap. If there was still some anodize left I sprayed the spot and repeated steps previous. Then I used 600, 800, 1000 1nd finally 1500 grit wet sand paper. Then using a cotton buff and jewlers rouge polished them back to their original luster. If you wanted to reanodize I suppose you could I left mine raw as i live in AZ. so no snow and salt and I will polish when required. Or you could powder coat them clear.
