hot shot secret question

Hey guys I've been toying around the idea to try out the line of Hot shot secret additives and stiction eliminator but i am very skeptical even with reading great reviews about this stuff. currently I am running power service additive every fill up. Grey bottle during the summer and white during the winter. I also get my oil tested every oil change. Any info or thoughts are helpful.

Thank you,
AJ

Tried it - Didn't really notice any difference with my truck. I had a slight skip at idle & thought it might help but no luck. I know the stiction problem is more prevelant on the 6.0 or so ive read.

I have used HSS stiction eliminator and saw minimal benefit in my 6.0. The 7.3 really doesn't have the stiction problem so you may not see a benefit but with the CK-4 oil out now it might be worth using and restore some of the additives that have been removed. Archoil 9100 is also an option and more people have seen better results with it I have not used it so I can't comment on it.

I've used Archoil 9100 every oil change except this last one. I switched to Triax oil and want to see how the truck runs on just the oil. My buddy has a 6.0, he uses Archoil 9100 and although normally a skeptic, now swears by it. Truck starts better, idles smoother and quicker especially in cold weather.

I also use Archoil 6200 with every fill up. 1 bottle treats 650gallons! warning it STINKS! Lol

I've used Hot Shot Secret on both my 7.3 and 6.0 Excursion, in that order.

My 7.3 Excursion developed a sticky injector Winter 2006 and I didn't use Hot Shot Secret until December 2008. A drive to and from Dallas In one night netted me 19.4 mpg and fixed my stick injector on my 7.3 Excursion.

On my 6.0 Excursion, I had some questionable injectors that would stick while I was driving even with inductive heating. Running HSS I drove to and from Florida netting (yet again) 19.4 mpg well up from the usual 15-16 mpg. After the trip, my injectors behaved much better and were eventually stiction free.

HSS and their fuel additive works, but you have to drive and work the truck. I.e. Long road trips. Driving around town won't fix it.
