What size is the motor?
I ask because that 750 might be too large for a stock motor on the street.

It also does not have a choke so cold weather running will be fun....not!
if this is a street motor I would go for a 650. You will have better throttle response and I bet idea a whole lot better too.

Jetting is fine for the high speed side of the cab has nothing to do for idle side or throttle response.
You might be able to change out air bleeds etc but why when a 650 will be better.

The motor doesn't look stock (at least on the outside) so maybe a 750 is correct for it - but we can't make a recomendation on what is the correct cfm for the carb without knowing head flow (porting), compression, exhaust system, intended use, etc.

However, I think a 750 cfm is fine for a 460, even stock, if the carb has vacuum secondaries.

If not (if its a double pumper) then matching the carb to the engine is more important.
Also, I'm not a fan of carbs where the choke/choke-horn has been removed if the vehicle is street driven. Even in FL where is 80 degrees at 7AM the choke is needed to start the engine and help it warm up. If you live north of the 30 degrees longitude, you're going to want a choke.

I am up in the air of putting it on the street...when i was building it it was a Drag Truck the last time it had a motor it was a 460 stroked to a 547 cubic incher and it had a ton of headwork ...it also had a dominator 1050 carb on it

I tried two other cams before settling on the current. I'm running Roller Cam setup, so swapping cams doesn't require new lifters or any break-in. Although the Cams aren't cheap, so its best to get the correct one the first time.
The cam was not selected for the NOS though. A split duration is Cam is always recommended on a 460 because the Exhaust ports don't flow as well as the Intakes.

Check out the 460 Ford Forum site when you get a chance. The members over there really know the 460 engine.

Something that I've learned over time is when they say your carburetor is too big, that doesn't mean that it shoots in too much fuel. What they mean is that the holes are too big to make decent vacuum. You gotta have a certain amount of vacuum for the engine to run right.
