A Buddy’s son is deployed to S Korea, he said his son told him the American Military started vaccinating troops deployed there today, apparently it’s still voluntary BUT we’ll see how long that lasts. The military often confuses Voluntary and VolunTOLD as synonyms... A very good friends wife is stationed at Fort Belvoir as a RN, she’s been told to expect to get vaccinated neither of them are enthusiastic about it.
It’ll be interesting to see what approach our Allies take with their military and civilian populations regarding the vaccine and if they’ll require mass vaccinations. The next question will be, will our Allies try to pressure the DoD to require our deployed troops to be vaccinated IF they require their own military to be vaccinated?
The GF got the vaccine 14 days ago, so far she’s seems relatively normal , but I made it clear that if she starts acting weird(er), bleeding from the eyes, losing her hair etc...I won’t hesitate to put her down. We laughed then she looked at me kinda weird lol. I bought her the movie; I am Legend for Xmas, she wasn’t amused. Luckily it’ll be mid-summer before they start vaccinating the masses that are healthy, non medical or “not” at risk individuals...plenty of time to watch for potential side effects.

A while back, in August I shared this story with the Morning Coffee FTE audience...
Quote source= https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post19456188
Several FTE'rs had thoughts about it and a couple it close to home for.
The other day, I shared the story below in another FTE sub-forum.
Today, I updated that thread with the following:
Be kind if and where you can, it will come back to you one day. Karma is real and she can be a bitch! 2020 has been a difficult time for us personally, as a nation, politically and as a FTE community. Just because we disagree with people, doesn't mean we have to go ballistic. I have been at fault in this way in the past, as many of us have. I try to correct my ways and methods, but I make mistakes and I lose my temper from time to time, just like everyone else.
It is was it is, live and let live and do what we can to be kind.
Happy new year, hopefully 2021 will be better to us all!

I’ve always told my kids to do the right thing every chance they get - even when it means going out of your way. It’s a blessing to have the ability to help someone in need.

Jhall1991, KubotaOrange76 and I all feel just about any of their IPA brews are a wise choice. I am a bit partial to the yellow label, coastal and original green.
I am glad you enjoyed the beer sir and we all wish you a safe trip home!

Clayton had another ekg and echo after a week of resting at home. We are happy with his progress. Outwardly he is a happy healthy little guy. Inside his heart looks very healthy, his inflamation in his arteries shows that it seems to have peeked and is now slowly returning to where it should be.
He will have many more test for the forseen future. The next one is scheduled in a few weeks after he is done with his steroids. This will sort of be a life long thing to keep an eye on. Even though his artery walls may return to normalish appearence, they have been stretched and damaged. As he gets older he will continue to have echos and ekgs, he will also have stress tests performed occasionally as a teenager-adult. It is something to always keep an eye on, but not neccessarily worry about. Our wonderful cardiologist put it as a good reason to get him started on a very healthy lifestyle at a young age.(probably something I should start myself😆
Right now our job is to keep him healthy and away from colds/viruses, and help him continue to recover.
We have been overwhelmed(in a good way😀 from the outpouring of support from our family, friends, church, and community. We are greatfull for all of you, and can't ever express our gratitude enough. Your help, which has come in many forms, has enabled us to care for Clayton and eachother while not having to worry about lots of the other aspects of daily life.
Please continue to pray that Clayton continues his good progress towards recovery.

Happy new year's eve and new year everyone! Here is to hoping it is peaceful and joyful for you and your loved ones!
I am looking forward to 2021 along with the friendships and good times it may bring. 2020 has been a very trying time for the entire planet. Hopefully we are on the path to recovery within our own families and nation.
GFML, the FTE and all of the great people I have met in person and virtually. Cheers!
