Ya know if you're itching to wrench on a 7.3 that bad, I'm sure some of the members would appreciate hands on help on theirs with actual problems

Now, now Guys, leave Byron alone. I believe trucks that leak cause cancer in California …ok well everything causes cancer in California and Byron is just trying to stay ahead of the curve ball before heading back home. . Seriously, Byron that does look good. You gonna be ready for the trip back? Are you still running the stock E99 turbo …? How’s the HPX hose , looks like the split loom melted a bit...?

Thanks Mark! I'll be getting the other one back to you here shortly. It's in good shape. Just needs a rebuild or deleted.

haha Wes! I'd love to help out. This was a problem. I would mop up oil in the valley and then it would be full the next day. There was a stream of oil leaking between the turbo and ped. Those OEM rings were less than 2 years old. Not sure what happened? If it was a layer of oil, I would have left it alone, but it was bad.

HAHA, thanks for having my back John. These guys can be ruthless. Yeah, after this little fix and tightening up some loose ends this afternoon, truck is as ready as can be. I'll change the oil before I go. That melted loom is from where the FRX used to sit. The line is untouched. I rerouted it that way last Spring because it was routed in a way I didn't like. Hopefully it's better the way it is. I may tape it up around that area this week when I do the oil change or put a piece of fuel line over it. I am still running the E99 turbo. I was going to do a rebuild while it was out, but it has zero play and the WW is in great shape, so I left it alone. I hit 24 boost before it defueled. My PW numbers are good too. I posted in that other thread as an update.

Looks good Byron, I always enjoyed stepping and admiring the valley and parts in/around it after giving it a good cleaning.

When are you headed west?

Looking great Byron.
My little boy wanted some action so I let him help me change the EOT sensor and pig tail on the Mule.

You and I are the same cut. I admire it too, especially when it's nice and dry again. We head out in about 2 weeks give or take a few days. Hopefully about the 25th. I still have a few things to finish out here and our trailer needs some attention. Nothing major, just little tweeks and stuff. I am going to start a new thread to log the trip like I have done in the past.

Hope to start the laundry list of winter work the 25th. Hope the updated fork gets here on time, cant shift without it Wife is tired of seeing all the boxes and prepped parts stacked up in waiting
Was also told to sell the vette to get it and all the spare parts out of "her" driveway and garage

Laundry list.... Yeesh. After the accident, I was rummaging through what was left of Stinky and it was as much a shopping list as anything else. Truck aside (get it - hyuk), two tablets were smashed, some CPAP hardware was damaged, my phone has a crack in it (even with an Otter case), a bottle of Peppermint Schnapps scented everything, a cargo box shattered and strew the contents everywhere, three sets of reading glasses are destined for the dumpster, a destroyed suitcase, a cracked cover on my 1-year-old Honda generator, and one piece of luck: I had a 2 1/2 gallon jug of Triax in the bed, and the impact popped the top off, never to be found again - but all 2 1/2 gallons stayed in the jug when it landed on its base. Imagine that slathering everything in the bed and cab.

I'm still reeling from Christmas, I have a truck to buy, and I want to shut the money spigot off - but I have to keep replacing broken stuff.

I think I'm going to have a huge garage sale this spring - engines/parts, tools, motorcycle, tires/rims - and that doesn't include Stinky parts yet.

Sounds like you have a LOT to do this Spring Rich. I am sure you'll have a list of stuff that will get grabbed up. Any word yet on replacing Stinky?

You know what's odd is that I didn't set a 1211 yesterday on a WOT run AND my HPOP pressures came up to 3100-3200. Not sure what I did. I posted in the other HPOP thread about it.
