Swapping C6 issues

Basically I'm building a 71 f100 from scratch with "spare parts" and I have a 77 460 and it's paired 77 c6 I pulled from a grand marquis. I also have a c6 from a 70 429 Mercury cyclone, which both transmissions have the shift rod in the same location. I have a c6 from a 74 f250 2wd that of the 3 is the least likely to be any good. But the shift rod is in the proper truck location for the column shifter. I believe it's pointed more forward/up as the car ones are forward/straight down. Is the shaft easy to rotate or bracket easy to relocate to the proper truck location? What's the best option here...? as extreme low budget and rebuilds are an option.

Do they both have the same tail housings and output shafts as the '74 truck trans ? If so, the shift shaft is easy enough to change. Take the pan off, remove the larger hexed bolts, they hold the valve body in. You will see the shift shaft is held in with one big nut. Remove the nut and slide it out. When you put the valve body back in you just align the pawl on the shaft with the selector valve, easy enough. Start with the '74 trans to see what needs done.
Nice trailer you got there.
