Problem with tailgate
Have a 17 king ranch, only had it for 2 weeks. Has the electronic push button on the gate and keyfob to open the gate. How ever it will not open. Is there a setting on the truck that has to be turned on or is there a electrical Problem

When will it not open? If you have the key fob on you it should open when you mash the button. What about the release button inside the truck or the button on the key fob? Do any of those work?

Not sure it applies to the fob, but for the dash button, and the taligate button to work on mine, the truck needs to be unlocked first. It depends on your unlock settings you may need to hit the unlock on the fob twice to unlock all doors. Since I have a shell I never open my tailgate with the fob.

Did you have the trailer 12 pin plug installed for the trailer tpms and camera? If so the dealer may have connected it to the wrong plug under the bed. another member had the same issue and found they had used the tailgate plug not the plug for the tpms/camera.
