po401 code
99 ranger 3.0,,,,check engine light popped up showing P1000 and P0401 codes,,,,,i think the p1000 is a system readyness test,,,,not sure why that came up and the 401 is exhaust gas problem,,,,I put on a new autozone DPFE a few months ago,,,,,can anyone point me in the right direction please !!!!!

If the P0401 (insufficent EGR flow) code comes back, check all EGR-related hoses for kinks, holes, clogs etc. Also check any EGR passages, including the orifice tube, for coke buildup.
