Hello guys I have a stumper here. I have a 1997 Ford F150 with a 4.6 V8 it has been having EGR problems I forget what the code is exactly but it's something like insufficient EGR recirculation or something like that but anyway I have clean the upper air intake clean the EGR replace the tube going down to the header and replaced the sensor and I still get this damn code. now what I notice it seems the code peers only when the truck is idling and slow traffic any thoughts of what this could be. I'm guessing it's probably something else that's coming up as this code any thoughts would be appreciated.

You must offer the code or it's just guessing.
An EGR code does not come and go with engine speed because it is a static program test done two times at each drive cycle.
If a diagnostic failure if found it sets a code and does not go away until repaired.
Do not try to interpret a code unless your familiar with the systems.
It often causes confusion.
Good luck.
I'm guessing it has to do something with the vacuum solenoid I did some internet searching and they're saying that it's probably that but the situation they are describing just not quite fit what's going on with mine could it be possible that the EGR diaphragm might be bad
