Not using my X as much as I wish I was. Thinking of selling it. I looked up the KBB price and it is close to 12K. Throw in some accessories and you go up from there. Figured I would ask you guys.


It is a 2000 Limited X 7.3 with 138K on it. I have had it for 5 years. Truck was originally from Texas and is now in North Dakota (No Salt here). I have added a 4" diamond eyes exhaust to it. A beans diesel performance 6 position chip with Edge Insight Monitor. It has a pioneer in dash navigation system. A larger cold air intake. I have extra parts that have not been installed including a new starter, wicked wheel 2, glow plugs, etc. It has 17" XD Revolvers rims on it and 31" Nitto Trail Grapplers on it as well. Hell Wig Rear Sway, Zone 4" lift, and new steering stabalizer has been installed as well. Has two Optima batteries in it as well so with some off road lights on the bull bar. 05 Grille Update and 04 Update on Tow Mirrors from paddles.


As for the negatives. It needs new paint, south Texas for 15 years fried it, I would repaint it but I figure the buyer gets to pick his color when he buys it. The rear driver barn door cable broke and needs to be replaced. I haven't had any problems with it minus cosmetics and wear and tear and have done very limited towing with it over the last 5 years. I would love to keep it but with my time already limited I don't forsee much of an uptick in driving it much in the near future.

If interior condition is very good, then you should be between $16-20k with those miles. It could pay off well for you to spend some money on interior if it is in rough shape. For example, you could double what you spend on seat covers in final price return.

 

I think a lot of the value is going to depend on how bad the paint is. Does it NEED repainting? Interior condition is important too. Is it an XLT or an EB?

 

It is the Limited edition. Don't think they had EB the 1st year. I can buff it and would be back to ok. But it would need a re shoot for sure in the next few years.
