ROOF Leaks -- I don't have a moonroof

I West Virginia last week on vacation and was parked next to our 5th wheel waiting for a heavy thunderstorm to pass so we could go in. All of a sudden I started getting drips of water from the panel next to the upfitter switches.

I don't have a moonroof. Whats the deal. Best I can figure out is the clearance lights.

Back home now. Calling the dealer this morning.

I've seen a few people complain about the seals on the clearance lights. Have the dealer check those out.

The majority of complaints I have seen about roof leaks seem to be from the earlier built trucks. My truck was built 6/16 and has the moon roof and clearance lights. Saturday afternoon we got a good heavy downpour and (knock on wood) so far so good. Haven't seen any drips or evidence of a leak.

People seem to default to the pano-roof and the clearance lights but I have seen a number of folks on FB say it was found out to be a bad windshield seal. It was presenting water in the exact same spot by the upfitters.

The dealer said they have a vendor who comes in and takes care of water leaks. (Everything today is a specialty).
I will say something to the dealer about the seal.

thanks

Your truck was built June 2016? I didn't even think production had really started at that point...

Whoops- That would be June 16 of 2017. So far so good on my truck not having any of the issues that I have read about here on FTE. I have my fingers crossed but I'm hoping that waiting as long as I did gave Ford time to work out some of the bugs/ kinks that "some" people were encountering.

Haha, that makes more sense. My truck was built early September 2016 and it has the moonroof and clearance lights...no leaks...includes a winter of heavy snow and above normal heavy rains this summer.

CAB LIGHTS sealed -- no more leaks. We have had some serious rain lately so mother nature provided a great leak test.

Enjoy the road. we do.
