Bullet Proof Hitch Installed

Bullet Proof Hitch Installed
I guess this is for the guys that don't want an aluminum hitch.
This one is their 2.5″ Extreme Duty 6″ Drop/Rise part number ED256.
When I installed it two words came to mind. "Overkill" and "ridiculous". This thing can tow more than the truck is capable of and like they advertise, it'll be the last hitch you'll ever have to buy.
I was debating between the 6" and 8" cause it seems allot of the Weigh Safe guys get 8". After talking to the guys at Bullet Proof they convinced me to get the 6" even if I were to get 35" inch tires. I have no interest in going taller cause I still like being able to put my truck in the garage.
With the ball all the way down, it sits 12" inches from the ground. And also sticks out 12" from the bumper for anyone that cares.
The ball ratings are 2 5/16″ = 30,000LBS & 2″ = 12,000LBS and has a tongue weight capacity of 6,000LBS.
The weight is about 50-55lbs. Not light but I had no issues carrying it around and installing it. Again the construction is overkill and the finish reminds me of a bedliner spray in material but I know it's not. I live in AZ so I have no concerns about rusting or what not.
Next month we have a camping trip planned so I haven't towed with it yet. We bought the truck strictly for family vacations and pulling travel trailers.

I personally can't compare to Weigh Safe cause I've never owned one. With the BP its pretty locked in forward/aft, but it does have some side to side play. Maybe if the chamfers on the shank weren't so big it may have taken some of that movement up. Also at over 50lbs I wouldn't want too tight to make it hard to install.
