Oil Bypass System
I was short one tee fitting, second down from the top.
The oil fill cap, fitting, mounting plate and hardware.
The fittings loosely fit together.
The housing completed. I used Teflon paste. Messy stuff but I like it.
Besides getting an extra sealed washer and new o ring with second filter, you also get an emergency set in case you have problems and the housing is leaking. You also receive fittings to cap off the pressure line in case you need to take it off due to a problem.
The oil cap with fitting installed ready to go.
The sampling fitting and hose.
This is the pressure hose because it's a little longer than the other hose. Since the filter mounts on the driver's side, it makes sense because the hose has to run across to the other side. Haven't figured out yet what that fitting is for.
The return hose.
This thing is a big *******.
About 7 inches high.
At least 4.5 inches in diameter.
The housing that bolts into the FS2500 head.
Machined aluminum, very nice.
The parts...
Very clear and color instructions.
So I will take pictures of the install when I do it and will post what the regular canister install looks like and how big they are. I will drain the FS2500 housing when I do the next oil change and run it until I change the oil again. It will run for about 14,500 miles give or take. I will check flow out of the return line to the head but I don't anticipate any problems with it clogging or not flowing. So it will be awhile until I post pics of these spin on kit.
EDIT:
I've been running the screw on filter kit now. Will post pics at next filter change.
