Looking at a 97 F350 4X4 SRW 7.3 diesel with a manual transmission. Want to be able to tow a 20k lb 5th wheel toy hauler. If I add DRW and possibly an air suspension would this combination handle that kind of load?
Could it move it? Absolutely. Would it be legal? Not even close. The maximum combined truck and trailer weight ratings for these trucks only just totaled 20k lbs and that was with dualies and an automatic transmission, with a manual it's a couple K lbs less. 1997 F350 single rear wheel 20,300 lbs combined, with truck, trailer, and toy. No problem. 4.10s stock tires, chip, intake, exhaust and no intercooler. I tow through the mountain passes of WA state.
