wash the coil exterior as Sam said......... You need a set of gauges to see the HI and LO pressures to determine if more refrigerant is needed....... put a thermometer in the duct louver by radio and see what the air temp is after 5 minutes... 50 degrees is GREAT 60 degrees is OK for now... if the air is 65-70 degrees, you may need more gas.
Do not use a high pressure car wash to clean out the fins inside the grille. It is too much pressure and it will bend the fins which restricts airflow.
The low side pressure is dependent on the outside ambient.
The port is back under the firewall on the round black can passenger side.
I put a thermometer in one of the center ports with fan on third speed.
With system and engine fully heated I add into the low side port while checking the temperature drop.
Just recently did mine and got down about 38 degrees.
The boss runs it now at reduced cooling and still freezes me out to the point I either shut off my side or deflect the air away.
May not be the way others do it but always works for me on other vehicles I own without the low side pressure going out of limits.
