I'm putting in a gm style hei distributor in my F1. Can someone tell me how to wire it? I have no wiring in it right now. I just want to test run it. You just need a 12 volt power source to the terminal that is not marked tach ,I do not remember what it is marked as ,it has been a while .

12v hot to the BATT terminal on the coil in the cap, that is it. It needs a full 12v, do not run a ballast resistor. Make sure you have 12v in both START and RUN key positions, most point systems ran a bypass wire for the START position and do not have power there from the stock ignition switch. TACH terminal is the signal connection for a tachometer.
