Leaking sending unit

Hey guys I put a new rear tank on my 84. F250. And I can't get the bottom of the sending unit to seal against the tank so it leaks through the seal.. any ideas?

You are using a new seal/o-ring correct? Are you using a new lock-ring also? Are you using the old sending unit?

TWO different fuel tank sending unit O-rings. Gas or diesel?
