Was looking at Rock auto wholesaler closeout add and I saw:
DELPHI FS0004 {#25055458, E5DZ9A011A} Strainer
17 or 19 Gallon Midship Fuel Tank
I have never seen or heard of it. Does anyone know anything about it.
Is it something just for injected engines.
What caused me concern is the description... midship fuel tank, like it might be in the fuel lines along the frame or somewhere.
Just one of those things that make you wonder?????
Need to know the exact engine and year; 1985.5 and 1986 used different fuel system filters & whatnot than the others, Bill Vose (85lebaront2) knows about this stuff.
It sounds like the filter/strainer that foes on the end of the fuel pick-up tube in the tank but I haven't looked up Basic 9A011 (E5DZ-9A011-A you posted above) to learn more, this info is probably on Gary's garagemahal site someplace.
Mine is an 85 XLT Lariat Long bed, extended cab, carb'ed 302, AOD, also put a stock 3:55 limited slip rear end in.
Also has the front and fear tanks.
Was set up foe California high altitude. Now has DS2.
Stock most everything else...
Have had it and been in constant use for over 27 years.
Don't remember how many times the speedo has rolled over....
Think it has a couple thou miles on it .......
