How long will a 2017 F250 KR 6.7L diesel idle before it will automatically shut off by itself? Second key fob was left in truck and truck was locked with other key fob.
I don't have my manual in front of me, but I think it will shut off after 30 min if you do nothing (like hit the brake or similar). I have never idled that long in my truck, but in my 2017 Fusion, I get the warning that the car will shut off in so many seconds. I hit the brake, it re-sets and goes away. I think this is a newer "feature" that is intended to save fuel. In reality, those that work in their trucks or need to keep them running for the A/C its an annoyance. You can shut this off in the menus, but have to do it every time you start the truck.
mine was set to 10 min by the factory i went into the settings while the truck was running with the key in it and changed it to 15.. texas heat can be brutal especially with black interior

That is for the remote start. There is also a feature where if the truck is at idle (key in) and its just sitting there, it will shut off after 30 or so minutes. I don't think this time is adjustable. You have to shut the feature off every time you get in the truck and start it if you want to leave it running for extended periods.
