Hi @subford
The calibration code for my truck is 0-53E-R00.
In my searching for a replacement, I am wondering if the one that was in the truck already was wrong - there have been problems that I have been managing all along (replaced both fuel pumps etc.) that might be attributed to that.
Thanks again for your input and if you could tell me the correct ECM, that would be great.
For the calibration code of 0-53E-R00 goes to parts list #36.
Pars list #36 says it should be F0TZ-12A650-TA.
Can't thank you enough for this! Spent a long time on the phone with the dealership today, and the fella explained how his searching was limited by lack of microfiche, and that the new computer program doesn't cross reference as well, and the best he could come up with was a 1994 similar model with no guarantee it was correct.
Hello subford, I have an 88 bronco 5.0 l and someone stole my ecu. The calibration number is 7-54Z-R11 which should be parts list 608 as far as I can see. Do you happen to have that parts list in your file? This should be a high altitude ecu and I need to replace it. Thank You
I also need help in figuring out the OE Ford part number for an ECM module. I have a 1990 ford f150 with a 5.8L engine and E4OD transmission according to the Vin on the door post. Do not have access to the original ECM module & the one that came on the truck doesn't work properly with the transmission. From North Carolina, so I don't think I need the California emission ECM necessarily. The information off the door post labels are:
I had seen that post earlier, but wasn't sure about it. I wasn't sure about the transmission on that particular post. I know that there are 2 different automatic transmissions and since I am having an issue with my transmission working correctly with what I have at present, I didn't want to chase down and purchase a ecm module for the wrong transmission type.
So you think I will be alright with that info you just brought to my attention?
The engine in that post was a 5.8L so it could either be a C6 or E4OD. I’m going to say that with the same calibration code that truck was also an E4OD but that’s a guess since Chris asked one question and hasn’t been on here since.
I think that is the problem though. The ECM Module that was installed is an aftermarket and the previous owner said that after it was installed, the Overdrive light on the dash stayed on even if you pressed the button. I suspect that it may be for a C6 instead of the E4OD that the truck has. Also sluggish from a stop in drive. Reverse works fine though, just can't keep up with traffic driving that way.
Just want to confirm before I search and purchase.
