I don't know what I'm looking for so I figured I'd ask here. I've got a '16 CC 4x4 SB and I want to add air bags to support the load that I haul in my truck. It's a company vehicle and my load of parts and tools has the truck squatting and bouncy on the road at high speeds. I'm not looking to replace the leafs, just add support. What do I need to look for when shopping around online?
I have had excellent luck with Firestone Ride Rite bags, and have had them on several (06, 09, 13) F150s. I intend to put a set on my 17 very soon. They take the bounce out of my camper and add stability when hauling it towing have loads. Never had an issue with them!!!!
I've go at the AirLift 2000 and love them. When empty I run 10psi and can't tell a difference. When I hook my trailer I can run 85psi and it brings the truck back to original height (from a 2" squat) and rides great.
I also have the single in cab adjustment and it makes it really easy to eat everything just right.
I had Air Lift in my 07 F-150 and loved them. I found them to be much the same as Firestone, but less expensive. As Scott said...run 10 or so psi when empty and you don't even know they're there. Pump them up when you need them.
I installed Airlift 2000 bags in my wife's 2011, & 2013 F150. When we traded for the 2016 I installed Firestone bags because they were on sale and cheaper than the Airlift. The Firestone bags carry a load much better! I know I'm not comparing apples to apples but I like the Firestones much better! Especially if they will be in a work truck and loaded every day.
Or look at the Airlift bags with the internal jounce bumper. I am considering putting them in my 2017 F350.
Just to clarify so as not to confuse the OP. Airlift makes two different types of airbags. The "Loadlifter" and the "Ride Control". The Ride Control is what I had. I BELIEVE the LoadLifter is more like what Firestone sells, but I never had Firestone so I really can't say for sure.
Sorry if this is confusing, but I hope it points you in the right direction.
Absolutely! Good point. Not sure about Firestone, but Airlift doesn't give you a Y connector just for that reason.
I had my AirLifts installed by an Off Road shop and they installed them with 2 fill points, one for each bag. Made sense when I asked why 2 fill points vs. 1. I got the Loadlifter 5000 Ultimate with the internal jounce bumper, just in case bags ever were to deflate. Like the lifetime warranty too.
I did single fill point with the onboard compressor. The dual was more than I want to spend and since the setup isn't supporting the suspension I wasn't worried about it.
I have heard the 5000 with internal do ride slightly rougher when aired down.

I've not experienced that as of yet. We keep between 5-10 lbs of psi in each bag when unloaded, and aside from some harshness going over the curbing in the driveway, the truck rides very smooth.
That's good to hear. I've just seen people on other forums complain. Maybe the curb hopping is what they're doing and complaining about it being rough. Or maybe they're like my wife and just way too picky.
