I don't see why they couldn't replace the springs.. They do it all the time in other items..

I think they can be. It was made with them, don't see a reason that they can't be replaced.

I guess if they can't find the right sized springs it would stop them..

That is the only reason that I can see that would stop it from being repaired.

I have two mowers, they're both the same. Its a warranty claim. They haven't decided whether to replace the engine or rebuild the last time I checked on it.

Seems like it would be cheaper to just replace it..

If it is repaired may cause problems that they have to pay for every year
