You will probably have to fabricate one. I can't imagine the demand for them would be high enuf for someone to be making them. Have you checked the salvage yards to see if any trucks have them. Like I said, I have never seen one. I have seen bed racks that extended out over the cab for ladders, pipe, etc like plumbers and electricians use.
You might find something that is meant for a jeep or suv and alter it to fit your truck, I'm actually looking into the same thing but for my 70 crewcab to mount snowboards and mount lights to for night offroading and not adding a roll-light bar. I was leaning towards the clip type just to not put any extra holes in my truck. I know their out there u just have to search in offroad magazines.
I've seen lots of them. They are available in the aftermarket I even made one for my truck out of 1" square aluminum tubing. I didn't attach it to my roof, but I attached it to the top of my utility box on my truck. I also have a pair of spotlights mounted on it. It's light, and much stronger than it looks. See my gallery.
I wouldn't bolt it to the roof. My truck had a lightbar that was bolted to the roof, and the holes leaked and you need internal bracing and its just a mess...
It also makes a great place to mount a .50 CAL.
Just kidding. However I do have plans for a rack for the hunting truck that would include an mount (flush, of course) for a drop in marine pedastal seat. Coyotes and feral hogs, watch out! Not to mention a great seat for the beach fishing and or "general observation" The possiblities are endless for the sportsman(and girls?) in all of us.
And Panzer, gongrats for coming up with something Eric has not thought of first!!! (Sorry Eric, I couldn't resist. Its tough at the top, heh?)
