I just replaced my pedal assembly last week thinking the one iI installed last year was bad. I thought it was odd being a new part from ford. It has been running fine until today. I covered the alt and cleaned the motor. went for a short ride to heat it up and pedal stopped responding once again. So now it has no response once again. Im thinking now its not in the pedal at all. Anyone have ideas where else to look and what is connected. Maybe i have a exposed wire? Any help would be great thanks Jeff
So I did mega reading on the forums last night. I checked fuse # 45 good. Decided to removed the PCM and check the DP Tuner connection because if I ended up taking it to dealer or Independent that would be the first thing to suspect. So I removed the PCM and DP tuner. I have a old model F5 switch type of tuner. The chip that connects to the PCM is where the issue was. It is the ribbon cable to the tuner that plugs into the PCM. 2 of the wires are flat and pinched exposing bare (green & black) and contacting the solder pins on the tuner. I removed all reassembled. Truck now runs in stock mode but runs fine. tested it all days many times over. Checked pedal connector wire and plug as well while under there. I also cleaned out the PCM connection too. So next thing will be to see if I can get a new ribbon cable for the switch from DP Tuner. Anyways my thinking was to backtrack from the things i modified and it seemed to work out for the troubleshooting. Jeff
