Brake dust rust

I bought brand new XD rockstar wheels less than a month ago... my caliper froze up and chewed through my brake pad down to the metal... replaced all broken parts and the next day my entire wheel was orange... I'm assuming it's just rusted metal dust from that pad... a lot of it came off with a sponge and some soapy water... but a lot of it is still on there and nothing I do is cleaning it. Brand new wheel and it now looks about 10 years old. Has anyone had this issue before? Any suggestions on how to clean it?

Try P21S Wheel Cleaner from California Car Cover

Or elbow grease with wheel polish.

Those "mr clean" cleaning pads you buy in the grocery store cleaning aisle work great on lots of stuff. I'd try that. I've even used it to clean paint off of clear coat.

The absolute best stuff I have ever come across for getting crap off wheels is Meguiar's Hot Rims Chrome Wheel Cleaner - if this stuff can't get what's on your wheels off, it ain't coming off
