So the wheels on my 09 have some serious stuck on brake dust spots. If I spray my Meguiars wheel cleaner on, I can scrape it off with my fingernail, but it takes a LOT of scraping to get one little spot removed.
A little green scratchy pad makes it easier, but also scratched the chrome. Anyone find an easy way of doing this that's not too hard on the wheels?
Thanks! I wondered about super fine steel wool, but thought it would still scratch. Ive only seen 4-0 at my local store. Will keep an eye out for 5-0. Thanks again
It might take awhile, but I highly recommend Eagle 1 A to Z wheel cleaner
First mix a good detergent soap like ( DAWN ) and a cotton cloth this will take time,
to hand remove this but well worth it.
Follow the direction on the Eagle 1 A to Z product, basically cool & dry wheel after you've removed
all of that nasty stuff.
I do not have this issue on the F-250, but the car's are another story and it works great I will ROLL them back and forth
to spray the inside of the wheel also
