Fuel or electrical

My 04 f150 died on me after a long trip. It sat a few hours and started again. Tried the next day......nothing! I changed rail sensor, drive module AND fuel pump! Still wont start without a squirt of ether! Soooo what do I do next???? Help please

When it doesn't start does the fuel pump get power. There have been issues with the fuel pump relay going bad.

by drive module, I assume you mean the Fuel Pressure Module. ..... good check as alloro said is turn the key "ON", but not to start....... have someone listen to see that the fuel pump starts and runs for 3 seconds to pressurize the main line. At the same time you turn the key ON, the THEFT light on dash will come on for 3 seconds... then go out after recognized... see that this happens also.

Thanks everybody. I finally got it started. It was a loose connection in a pigtail splice I had to replace. Small problems create large headaches!

Does it continue to run after shot of ether ?

PCM power relay controls Fuel relay coil , fuel pressure rail sensor reports to PCM temperature and pressure. . Pcm gives permission to FPDM module on rear axle to run as a drive signal . Pcm allows fuel pump relay to give main power to fpdm module but only thru crash switch .
Fpdm gets its ground off axle , I would clean it . You haven't talked about fuel filter change it , Maybe put temp . hose on engine side into pan and see if it pumps into pan .
Depending on your tests and answers , you know you are bypassing injectors with spray . Pcm supplies grd to injector it wants to come on the other side is hot with key and jumps from injector to injector . Are they all standing hot .
