My 99' started o blow air only through the defrost vent today, and won't go through any of the other vents.
I think this happens when your vacuum pump goes bad or there is a leak, correct?
If so, how can I test these to figure out the problem. Thanks!
You are correct in thinking there is a vacuum leak or the pump is out.
Do you hear the vacuum pump running before starting the truck after it has been sitting over night? Do you have a mighty-vac hand vacuum pump in order to test the lines? Check to make sure all of your vacuum lines are connected and not broken or rotted away.
In addition to Sous's procedures you can pull the hose off of the pump (the one that goes to the tank) and put your thumb over the inlet to the pump, it should stop immediately. If it does then you have a leak to track down.
