that box looks cute an the bed . But Your pic gave me the idea to add at least one padlock for my box, since the stuff in there isn't cheap...
I know, the small box looks a little lonely! It is enogh to hold a jack and tools and not take up too much room and also fit in the cab for a full removal. Will be filling the back portion up soon with a wheel chock, fire extinguisher and the side and back rack project in progress.
I found a 48" tool chest and bolted angle iron to the inside of the bed and outside of the chest to get the height I wanted and be able to still stick stuff under (sheets of plywood, lumber, other stuff, etc). Lockable and works great - $50 Craigslist find.
Great timing on this thread. I'm getting ready to do a similar project. I have a couple metal Jerry gas cans and a Beer keg I pulled from the trash that are going into the bed soon. I'm going to make a simple rack for the cans to sit on either side of the keg after cutting a good sized access door into it.
Getting feel for how I'll set up the bed. When I can find some time, I'll get moving along on this project....
I found a hand painted foot locker at an Antique mall for $15.00 and have been using it. To keep it from sliding but still be removable I mounted some non-slip material on the bottom and it works great. The type of material I used is similar to what is shown on the link below.

The only problem I have with these great-looking boxes is that there's not much point in locking them if a thief can just pick up the whole box and leave with it.
