Can anyone post some more pics of the chrome door trim? Close-up shots? Trying to see how much of the existing black trim it covers, finish on the edges (will it catch my wash mitt?), etc.
I didn't get the chrome trim on my truck I just couldn't justify paying all that money for shiny plastic.
What kills me is that the chrome package is the same price on a dually as on a single rear wheel truck. If you have a SRW truck, you get upgraded "chromed" rims (actually they are PVD, but they last longer and look nice) in addition to the exhaust tip, door handles, mirror caps, tow hooks, upgraded running boards, and chromed bed tie downs.
But, if you have a dually, you get the same rims regardless of whether you order the chrome package or not. I'd say that's the largest expense of the package. Additionally, if you order the factory spray in liner, they spray right over your chrome bed tie downs. So another waste.
As someone who bought the dually, I couldn't justify $1125 for the plastic chrome door handles and mirror caps, the exhaust tip, and tow hooks. Personally, I'd actually like the chrome door handles, mirror caps, tow hooks, and exhaust tip...but it wasn't worth $1125 to me.
I don't think adding the chrome exhaust tip on the diesel is possible, but it appears the door handle covers and mirror caps are relatively easy to do.
I actually use my tow hooks, so maybe chrome is a bad idea.

Here's some of the Putco (Who makes the Ford OEM Accessories). It covers the entire black plastic, has smooth edges (wouldn't catch your wash mit). Got the full set of CrewCab four for ~$75. Included a 3m bonding wipe. Let me know if you'd like any more shots.
I like chrome also, to a degree. I have the chrome package on my Lariat. I was referring to the anatomical replications of a male bovine's 'nads seen hanging from the rear of Bubba's truck. Used to be real popular in my neck of the woods.
My truck is ingot silver with the Lariat 20" wheels and I think it needs a little chrome to make it pop. Though it always looks reasonably clean, monotone silver can look a little dull.

These were probably the best chrome accent I added. Plus much more comfortable on the arm when driving with window down and arm hanging out.

Mine is a STX (XL) model. That's how they come from the factory. At first I wasn't sure if I'd be happy with that but it doesn't show finger prints like the gloss black.
