E150 trans identification

I have a 2004 van, with a 4 speed, overdrive transmission. I have searched this and other Ford forums, with no definitive answer.
I am attaching pics of the trans tag.
I have seen many "opinions" about this, so please no guessing, first hand knowledge only.
thanks

I don't have a decoder for the tag. If I knew what engine it had I could tell you what transmission it has. Or if I knew how many pan bolts I could tell which transmission it is. But I never learned how to decode the trans tag.

E150 trans ID

Mark,
It is a 5.4l gasoline engine.
If you look at the post above you, annaleigh tagged it from a FORD remanufactured transmission list.
thanks to both of you for your help and quick comments.

The next question is about using Mobil 1 synthetic ATF in this trans. Is the torque converter drainable on this trans?

If you enter the vehicle's VIN in the site link below it will show you what equipment Ford put into it at the factory. Go to "vehicle" tab in the black stripe and enter your VIN in the box.

From the factory there was no drain plug in the torque converter. I don't know if a remanufactured converter would have one or not.

You can do a fluid exchange on this trans which will change about 95% of the fluid. Here is how to do it with a 4R100, the 4R70W is similar:

Mark,
What about changing to Mobil 1 ATF in the 4R75W 4 Spd Automatic Transmission?

That's a good choice. I recommend Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF.
