1999 F-150 Camper Conversion...
Just thought I would share my recent camperization of my 1999 F-150 Lariat.
First the wood base.
Then the lino covering.
Bed/storage base.
Lid with lino covering.
Bed/storage base painted.
A look inside...
My night stand/power station.
Shelving in.
With storage area (camp stove, portable toilet).
Another view.
Ready to camp when ever, where ever.
Canopy cost $1000CDN used. Conversion inside about another $1000CDN including two-bank charger for AGM deep-cycle batteries and 3000 watt invertor. Well worth it.

Nice job and I have plans on doing mine that way also. Have the LED strip lites. And will also be adding those inside mine.
My back hatch had a door in the middle. So Ican open it wide or just the center door to get in. Will also be adding one of those small portable Ac's . As most places I will use it will have power.
And thiking I'm going to also add a roof can in the ceiling. I know the one the tuck camper I had. Would make it nice in there after the sun went down. And will run for hours on a pair of 12 volt battery's and inverter.
Will be putting a new Fantastic fan in our Big 5th wheel And will use the cheap fan that I take out of it for the truck topper.

Sounds like you've got yours all planned out. I was going to put in permanent lighting like the LEDs you are planning, but decided instead to just use my headlight that I have for fishing. I didn't want to "light up" the whole interior in case I was around others in a campground setting.
As for the batteries, I decided to go with two deep-cycle AGM batteries. No need to install a venting system with them, as opposed to regular lead-acid batteries.
My advice is to draw it all out measurement-wise. Double-check that it should all work together, and slowly build it in logical stages so you can tweak your design as you go. Don't want to waste building material$$$.
Good luck on your build. Take pictures and post!
