A "shim" between the radius arm and the lower coil spring seat. I've seen exploded views where these are for '65-'69 but not '70-'72. Mine is a late model '69 and had a shim on the D side and no shim on the P side.
I installed chassis tech drop beams and the D side coil is just kissing the beam so I'm thinking I ought to use shims. Since I only have one and doubt I'll get another does anyone see a problem with just making one?

I've seen parts catalog exploded views where these (basic partnumber 5355) are for '65-'69 but not '70-'72 or 1973/79. Mine is a late model '69 and had a shim on the D side and no shim on the P side.

Who's buyin' the 1st round? .
You?
As a follow up I never purchased additional shims. These appear to my eye as being a level or camber correction part and if anything mine needs to go lower to correct for positive camber.
I'm now entertaining an adjustable height coil seat set coupled with shorter coils instead.

Normally it's bad form to try and explain a joke, I mean what's the point, right? I hope you understand that's what that was - a play on words - "asset" sort of sounds like another word, know what I mean? Everybody knows Bill is a valued member of FTE, and I thought everybody would get the joke. I didn't offend anybody's delicate sensibilities, hopefully.
I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on finding one of these shims. I know this is an old thread and I did try the places that were listed above but they did not have any.
