After installing new Blend door and actuator. Then running diagnosis along with reset. The blend door works and moves but the code won't reset. Door closes tight and air gets hot when raising EATC temp control. I have run the reset and checked the code several times. Just keeps coming up with a 22 and 66.
Also, This pickup has a brand new AC system and it doesn't cool for anything. 55°F. after ambient temp crosses 90°F.
Any suggestions??
Thanks for your help.
22 66 is LEFT side blend door failure.... so I assume you have split controls passenger and driver, and the drivers side is showing a fault on ITS door.
This pickup has a brand new AC system and it doesn't cool for anything. 55°F. after ambient temp crosses 90°F.
Any suggestions?? --------------- I don't understand what this means ??
No,actually this pickup has single control. This is not a dual system. I noticed on the code explanation that this was left side. However, I did read in other post that this is intermittent problem of some kind with the single blend door.
This problem started with the AC system getting total replacement because the vent temps stay 55°F. after ambient temp rises above about 90°F. I was checking for codes after replacing blend door actuator. According to the instructions, the codes should reset or erase. This one code just wont. It is the only code that comes up but I can't get it erased.
I cant help with the code. 55 degrees is good for a discharge air when ambient is over 90 outside....... there is a "recirc" setting on the controls to take the inside air and run it back thru instead of the hot 90 degree outside air. Depending on the system condition, that might get the discharge down to 50 degrees, but again 55 is good.
