I have no idea what the previous owner had in it....it looks gold. I need to add about gallon. Any suggestions or should I just add distilled water until I get around to flushing ?
My vote would be to just use distilled water until you flush. Unless you're either leaking coolant to the ground or burning it in the engine, your losses are only evaporative at this point and water alone should be fine.

Got it thanks. Not loosing any ... Just been a little low since I got it.
I just added 3/4 gallon water. It's going somewhere. It drained down just a little. But seems to have stopped. It's been at the level for over year. I just never added any. I don't see how any going into enigibe while not cranked. Don't see any leaks either. Might be just filling other cells or something. Hope I didn't screw up. Haven't cranked it yet
As you said it may have just been under filled by the PO. However I wold want to be sure that there are no other issues before spending some $$$ on coolant and flushing.
Most of our trucks seem to run low on coolant. Not sure why but they settle in below the low line on the degas bottle and just stay there. If it's not losing any don't worry about it other than regular maintenance
Do we know what years used what coolant? I believe my L99 had GREEN in it before I flushed and went to Final Charge ELC......
My E99 has green and we pretty much know that that's what they used back then. I bought a used 2001 from a municipality and it has green in it as well.
