Rain water with coolant??

Hi, anybody used rain water instead of distilled water to mix with coolant? Cheap alternative and plenty in my area, unless you are in a poluted area, no metal in the air, is PH good?

Distilled water is what, $1 per gallon? I wouldn't bother with the rain water IMO.

Geezz is it even that. I think I paid like 50-60 cents a gallon when I flushed mine.

Here 2.50 and I have to buy it at the Pharmacie, when available, because they only order a few gallons at a time. The garage do not use it, the auto parts do not know what I am talking about, they laugh at me if I say I use distilled water in my coolant.

Rain is free and available,

Good or not?

Yes but you have zero control over what it is in the rain.. pollution, small amounts of debris etc. I would just spend the $40 bucks total to get distilled water.
