Hey guys, I have a no start on my 2000 F-250. Truck has always been reliable, maintenance upto date, fresh oil and filter, new fuel filter. I drove it to work this morning, ran great, came out to a no start. The tach reads, no smoke out the exhaust. I have verified fuel to the fuel bowl, 70psi, engine oil level is spot on, checked all fuses under the hood and in the driver side kick panel fuse box. Unplugged ICP, checked valve cover harness connections, still no start. Installed spare CPS, no go. I'm currently charging the batteries for round two of troubleshooting.
Any and all advise is welcome.
Check fuse thirty (I think under your right knee at the maids fusebox..) (the one for your fuel bowl heater)(owners manual material). Allright enough parenthesis!!!
If you look behind your fuel filter housing, unplug the lead that goes to the bottom. With a clean fuse. Try and fire.
This thing chipped, we need more info on the mods or use and mileage. (Let me tell you about my son type of thing, otherwise...dust fart guesses). Bring it.
Hydra chip, first thing that I pulled when it wouldn't fire. Last maint was checking air pressure in the tires, lol. It is a daily driver, tow rig. Fresh oil, filter, fuel filter about 500 miles ago. Current mileage is 178k. There was no indication of any problems when starting this morning, fired up instantly as it always has, ran like normal on the way to work.
Going to check all the relays tomorrow after work.
All dash lights were working. It was eating at me knowing my truck was down but I figured it out and she fired up about midnight last night. I swapped the blower relay with the IDM relay and she fired up. I will be keeping a spare relay along with a spare CPS in the console from know on.
