So I did a bit of work to the truck today and looked at my leak at the turbo. There is oil all over the bottom of the turbo all around the middle clamp that I assume holda it together and a bit by the vgt solenoid. Could that still be the drain tube or could the turbo need resealed? Can that even be done?
$2000 route is Ford doing a replacement of the turbo.
Is the turbo dry on the other side? If yes it may be the seals on the VGT.
I don't think you can get just the seals.
One would think that if it was the center section then you would see
the oil inside the compressor or the turbine housing or both. It looks
a bit too high up to be the oil return.
You might try some spray cleaner like carb or brake cleaner and get
it all dried yo then start the engine and see if you can watch where it
may be coming from.
Also take a close look at the top where the oil feed attaches. Bad paper
gasket would be an easy one.

lol no way I let Ford do that to me. I was like what could cost 2k the turbo is only $800 lol. But ya hopefully drain or feed ill clean it and see. I haven't been able to see it I've looked a couple times. Maybe only under heavy acceleration or load Idk. Ive got the new feed and drain tube enroute and I asked rudys diesel if I can get vgt gaskets but I fear your right and I cant buy them.
Failed drain tube o-ringJust to follow up on my leak. Pretty sure it was the drain as the yellow o-ring has seen better days. Replaced drain and fill lines all new gaskets and she's running great. First time ive taken the turbo off and not had a leak so happy about that but I did ask myself why Ford hates the owners of the 6.0 so much a couple of times but all is well now. Thanks to all that helped.
