Delete fuel selector valve?
My son's 1992 F350 has the 7.3L diesel in it. It hasnt run in several years and he just got it. The fuel selector valve does nothing even when putting 12v on the correct pins. He doesnt want to spend the dollars to replace the valve. Has anyone made up jumper fuel lines to hook up one fuel tank to the engine to bypass the selector valve? Thanks in advance

I've done it on a gasser truck before with no ill effects. so I presume it should be just as easy. But when I did it I replaced all the line from the engine to the tank. I didn't create a jumper line. I'd see if you can get lines that connect to the stock fittings on both ends of the fuel line to the tank then connected the two with hose and clamps.

I've also done it on a gas truck. I used dorman "fuel repair" lines.
Fuel Repair Line | STEEL FUEL LINE ASSORTMENT. 1 EACH- 5/16 AND 3/8 IN x 12 IN DOUBLE BEAD LINES. | 800-159 | Dorman Products
They have shorter lines, but you get the idea.
NAPA also sells them under one of their brands.
