F350 Ex Ambo

Hi guys, greetings from Australia. I've got an F350 super duty, 2005 model, ex aussie ambulance, 7.3 powerstroke, 2wd. From the manuals I've downloaded, it looks similar to the 2001 US model. Been trying to program a new keyless entry fob and not having much luck. I've tried all the processes that I can find on the internet and what the manuals say. Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this for me? My old remote is nearly stuffed. Cheers Steve

Is it a Ford fob?

what's wrong with the old one? I assume more than it just needs a new battery? If the old one is just beat up on the outside, maybe just move the circuit board from the old case to the new case.

The new one is a Ford fob, the old one looks to be a 2 button code alarm one (identified from their website). The old 1 has had a badly worn button for a while which has obviously let moisture in and corroded the circuit board. The trouble I'm having is actually getting the truck to go into programming mode. I've tried all the different sequences I can find and cannot get the locks to cycle.
Cheers Steve

This is the page from the 2005 manual re programming the transmitters.

Maybe your new transmitter is bad if the pricedure isn't wirking.

Not so much a problem with the new transmitter yet mate, I can't get the truck locks to cycle that would indicate that it's entered programming mode?

You have a keypad on the outside of the driver's door? If not, maybe that's why the programming isn't working.

Best bet may be to take it to a dealer.
