Just wondering what's the best towing method. I have a 2004 f250, have the egr delete and SCT tuner, no cat and straight pipe. I have a 31ft travel trailer that I pull from time to time. So is the towing option on the tuner, proformance, or the tow/ haul button on the ahifter better to use.

IMO don't tow with anything but a transmission-only tow tune unless you have an EGT gauge. If you read the manual for the SCT tuner, it likely says to not tow anything in the Performance setting; the manual for my 3015 explicitly states that. The tow/haul button will likely work the same when using canned tunes, you can use or not use it depending on your personal preference; it only changes the shift points.
I would call Quick Tricks and order their transmission-only tune, it's better than the canned SCT trans-only option. Then ask about their tow tune option: 1st Tune File for 6.0L
$50 a tune!!!!! That is really cheap compared to others I've seen. I don't think I've came across any under a $100.
Do you have personal experience with these tunes?
(One reason I read every thread, always something new you'll find. Even Google won't show a lot of the stuff you'll find here on FTE)
I don't know where you're seeing tunes over $100 for a single file, Gearhead sells theirs for $60, Innovative is $65
I use a Quick Tricks Eco tune, it seems to run well. Transmission shifts better than the canned SCT trans-only tune, doesn't have a clunk disengaging cruise anymore.
I use the 'mild tow' with SCT. Again, the wicked 'thump' coming out of cruise is scary. I can develop 30lbs of boost on a heavy up-hill tow and EGT numbers are always under 1100 degrees.
